National Geographic Kids 1975-2016
National Geographic Kids is an active children's magazine published by the National Geographic Society, which publishes 13 issues annually. Its first issue was printed in September 1975 under the original title National Geographic World which itself replaced the much older National Geographic School Bulletin, published weekly during the school year from 1919 to 1975. The magazine was published for twenty-six years as National Geographic World, until the title of the magazine was changed in 2002 to National Geographic Kids.
National Geographic Kids magazine is essentially a version of National Geographic that is intended for children. Topics of features generally concern geography, history, wildlife and world culture and educational materials may be presented interactively in the forms of puzzles and quizzes as well as photos, competitions, articles and other features that are more accessible for younger readers.
The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1975 and 2016.
